About the Gorilla Guide

The Gorilla Guide web page building reference is designed to provide an auxiliary to the forthcoming Gorilla Guide to Building Your Own Website book and the Gorilla Guide Website Workshop courses. Over time I shall be extending the subject matter that this reference work covers and hope it will become increasingly useful. It is not the aim of this site to provide a complete HTML reference, since this has been done adequately elsewhere. This reference focuses firstly on documentation that specifically supplements the book and the workshops and secondly on subject matter that is not documented in a sufficiently accessible way elsewhere.

The Gorilla Guide to Building Your Own Website is to be published in book form and aimed primarily at non technical people who have a new or small enterprise or an interest that would benefit from their own web site, although this book will also provide an excellent guide to web page authors who need a refresher course or who need to improve their understanding of web page design. The book requires no previous technical knowledge and provides the minimum amount of information needed to competently create, edit and publish your own websites to the world wide web.

Please make good use of it.
